This policy covers the Bookshelf — Used Books browser extension. In short: the extension keeps your cart and alert settings on your own device, doesn't track you, and never handles your payment details — those are entered on Stripe's secure checkout page.

What the extension stores (locally)

Using chrome.storage.local, on your device only:

• Your cart (which books you've added).
• Your alert preference (on/off) and any keywords/authors you choose to watch.
• The IDs of books already seen, so it can show a "new listings" count.

This never leaves your device and is removed if you uninstall the extension.

Network requests

• frank-bookshelf.netlify.app — to load the list of books for sale and to create a secure Stripe checkout session when you buy.
• openlibrary.org — to fetch a book's description when you tap it for details.

The extension includes no analytics, advertising, or tracking.

Payments & shipping

When you check out, you're taken to Stripe, our payment processor, to enter your card and shipping address. The extension never sees or stores your card number or address — that information is collected by Stripe and shared with the seller only to fulfill and ship your order.

Data sharing & sale

We do not sell or share any data collected by the extension — there is none beyond the local settings described above.
