Credit Cleanup DIY (the “Extension”) · Last updated: June 1, 2026
This policy explains what data the Extension handles and how. In short: the Extension stores everything you type on your own device and does not send your personal or financial information to us or anyone else.
Everything you enter — budget figures, debts, collection/charge-off details, draft letters,
and your optional profile (name, mailing address, and the last four digits of your SSN if you
choose to enter it) — is saved only in your browser using chrome.storage.local on
your own computer. This data never leaves your device, is not transmitted to the
developer, and is not stored on any server we control. You can delete it at any time by clearing
the extension’s data or removing the Extension.
The optional one-time Pro upgrade is processed by ExtensionPay (ExtPay) and Stripe. When you choose to purchase, you interact with their hosted checkout. They receive your email address and payment details and process them under their own privacy policies:
The developer does not receive or store your credit card number. To confirm your Pro status, the Extension checks your purchase state with ExtensionPay; this is the only network request the Extension makes.
The Extension requests only:
storage — to save your letters, budget, debts, and settings on your device.extensionpay.com — to verify your Pro purchase status. The Extension provides educational information and document templates only. It is not legal or financial advice, and the developer is not a “credit repair organization,” attorney, or financial advisor. You are responsible for how you use the templates and information.
The Extension is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
